Head of Communications, St John’s Foundation
As Head of Communications at St John’s Foundation, one of Cathy’s current roles is to convey to people the true extent of the charity’s work. Established in the 12th century as an alms-house charity, the modern day St John’s does so much more. Of note, is its ambitious ten-year project, The Foundation Fund, established specifically to support disadvantaged children. St John’s is very fortunate to have had an extensive property portfolio bequeathed to it over the centuries and this is how it’s able to generate the funds that makes its charitable work possible. Prior to coming to St John’s, Cathy worked as a marketing manager for a local architect firm , where her interest in buildings and the city environment grew. She has lived in Bath since 2002 and says she has only seen Bath improve, architecturally, year on year.
